Sean Walsh
Sean Walsh epitomises Moyvane Football and has been involved with the club for most of his life. He first played with the senior team in 1973 while still playing with the Moyvane minor team. He was unfortunate to have been ill when the senior team won the North Kerry Championship in 1983. Surprisingly he never did win a Championship with the team. He did however win 2 County Championships with Feale Rangers in 1978 against Mid Kerry and in 1980 against Austin Stacks. Sean played for the county senior team in 1980 in some tournament hames.
Off the field, he took an active interest in the running of the Moyvane Club and became Secretary at the age of 20. In 1984, he became Chairman and remained so for 12 years. He became and officer of the Kerry County Board in 1988 and subsequently was elected Chairman in 1998 - a position which he has held for the past 6 years. He continues to bring great leadership to the County and has been integral in bringing Kerry GAA through some troubling times.
